Tips for Travelers Visiting Philadelphia
When you're flying into Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), consider pre-booking a rental car. When you arrive, you can simply head to the car rental location and pick up your vehicle. Driving a car of your own is much more convenient than catching a SEPTA train or bus, even when you account for city traffic. You're literally in the driver's seat, so you can travel to all of the city's historic sights on your own terms.

Driving in Philadelphia
Once you've picked up your rental car, it's time to drive to your destination. If you're heading to the city center, the drive will take approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. From the airport, head east on I-95 North. After you drive about 10 miles, you'll start seeing exits into the city. If there's traffic on I-95, you can take I-76 West into the city instead.
Getaways Outside of Philadelphia
After you've toured the city, hop in your car and head to one of the charming areas outside of Philadelphia. The Poconos are located two and a half hours away by car, and they're home to natural wonders like the Pocono Mountains.
